PRD: Aura Wearables Developer Platform (Phase A)
Version: 1.0
Owner: AiSastra / Aura Chat
Status: Phase A live; Phase B started (console quickstart + product module)
Public surface: https://developer.aisastra.com/wearables (internal route /developers/wearables)
1. Problem
Partners need a professional, Meta-grade entry point to build on Aura Glasses — not scattered markdown. Today SDK code exists but there is no Developer Center, published package coordinates, or clear capability roadmap.
2. Goals (Phase A)
| Goal | Success |
|---|---|
| Public developer hub | Wearables section live with clean UI, SDK + API docs |
| Trust | Architecture, allowlist, and hub requirement explained clearly |
| Pipeline | Partner interest form → DeveloperPartner queue tagged Wearables |
| Foundation for ADAT | Roadmap shows Device Access Toolkit phases (display, input, camera) |
3. Non-goals (Phase A)
- Full self-serve partnerId issuance (still ops +
GLASSES_PARTNER_ALLOWLIST) - iOS SDK publish
- Lens web runtime / app store on glasses
- Replacing Aura Chat as broker
4. Architecture (unchanged)
- Phone hub: Aura Chat (
com.aisastra.aurachat) - Partner surface: Android AAR + server push + optional BLE firmware
- User consent: Approvals + future scoped permissions in hub
5. Deliverables
- Web:
/developers/wearables(Wearables Developer Center) - API:
GET /api/developers/wearables/platform(public catalog) - Repo docs:
AURA_GLASSES_SDK.md,AURA_GLASSES_BLE_PROTOCOL.md - Phase B+: ADAT sessions, Mock Glass Kit, console project registration
6. Phases
| Phase | Scope |
|---|---|
| A | Portal, catalog API, partner interest, document Android + Node SDK |
| B | Developer Mode in Aura Chat, ADAT v0 (display + buttons) |
| C | Published Maven AAR, iOS, camera/audio delegation |
| D | Display glasses web runtime, certified partner catalog |
